I used the "twisted rib" for the cuffs. Row 1: knit 1 through the back loop, p1. Row 2: K1, purl 1 through the back loop. Repeat these two rows.
Right now I can't even think about DH's sleeves. His FLAK sweater will have to wait a bit. Janet posted FLAK - Part 7 (The Body) the other day so I guess I should get busy.
I mailed in my application for a workshop at Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival May 6th and 7th, 2006. I am hoping to get into the 2-day pre-festival workshop "Fair Isle Knitting with Ann Feitelson".
I love the artwork that was selected for this year's MS&W. The design was done by Martha Polkey who is a member of the Blue Ridge Spinner's and Weaver's Guild, a group I recently joined.
Lovely! Mine are going to have to wait now until after vacation. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful! You're making me want to pull mine out and actually start the front. Ugh. I'm so far behind!

Hi Terri, First, your blue crabs make me homesick for them! I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay and crab anywhere else just isn't the same. Any chance you can post a closer view of the twisted rib? I'd love to see how it's different from the one I've done on my gansey. I'll keep my fingers crossed about your getting into that workshop with Ann Feitelson and hope you'll tell us all about it!

you'll be done in no time :-)
ReplyDeleteHey, Terri,
ReplyDeleteDid you paint the sheep pic at the upper right hand corner of your blog?
I'm taking a painting class right now, and it caught my eye -- just curious.
